Londonderry, NH, June 5, 2013 - Game Salute is proud to welcome Pleasant Company Studios to our family of publishers. Pleasant Company is responsible for Ancient Terrible Things.

In Ancient Terrible Things, you play the role of an intrepid adventurer, exploring a dark jungle river. Each turn you must travel to a Fateful Location, face an Ominous Encounter and attempt to unlock its Ancient Secrets. If you succeed (using a combination of dice, tokens and cards), you add the Secrets to your score. If you fail, you unleash a Terrible Thing, which counts against your score at the end of the game. The object of the game is to be the player with the most Ancient Secrets when the game ends at the Unspeakable Event.

Londonderry, NH, May 8, 2013 - Game Salute is proud to welcome Gamelyn Games to our family of publishers. Gamelyn Games is responsible for Dungeon Heroes!

Dungeon Heroes is a tile-placement dungeon crawl. One player controls an adventure party of four heroes: a warrior, a wizard, a cleric and a rogue. The other player is the dungeon lord. He creates the dungeon and controls the monsters within. His goal is to construct a layout by placing tiles turn by turn that the heroes cannot survive. After the ninth turn the monsters within the dungeon enrage and begin to hunt down the heroes at the command of the dungeon lord. The heroes must unravel the dungeon lord’s scheme by disarming traps, killing monsters and using powerful magic to reveal hidden areas. Their goal is to locate three treasures to win the game. The dungeon lord, quite naturally, wants to stop the heroes from doing this…

Londonderry, NH, May 8, 2013 - Game Salute is proud to announce The Princess Bride: Prepare to Die, designed in-house by Jeremy Anderson and Dan Yarrington.

The Princess Bride is a terrific book (by William Goldman) and film (by Rob Reiner). In it, Inigo Montoya has trained his whole life to become a great swordsman so he can look at the six-fingered man and say, “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”

The Princess Bride: Prepare to Die is a party game based around this iconic line. Instead of Inigo Montoya delivering the line, however, you have various famous people such as Princess Zelda, Abraham Lincoln and Nikola Tesla. They’re also avenging things other than the murder of their father, with lines like, “You drank my milkshake” or “You sheared my alpaca.”

Your objective is to make the best combinations of people out for vengeance and reasons to feel vengeful.

Londonderry, NH, April 18, 2013 - Game Salute is proud to announce Skyway Robbery, designed by our partner developer Philip duBarry of Phantasio Games.

As a giant airship travels to various far-flung locales, rival gangs compete to pull off daring heists. Your job is to recruit various skilled criminals to join your crew as you plan to take down fortified locations and steal the loot guarded within. You may also complete smaller jobs on the airship itself as it travels across the globe. Set in a steampunk world, Skyway Robbery offers high adventure and cunning, card-driven game play.

A player’s turn consists of selecting three action cards and determining their order in secret. Once all players have selected their three actions, all the cards are revealed and resolved in turn. Most actions allow players to purchase new cards (crew and equipment) from areas on the board or engage in an illegal, but lucrative, activity. Whoever earns the most Street Cred at the end of the game is the winner.

Londonderry, NH, April 12, 2013 - Game Salute is proud to welcome Daniel Nayeri into our family of developers. Daniel Nayeri is responsible for Bombinoes.

Bombinoes is a game of quick and varied connections, in which players attempt to form mental links between small simple images – A rainy day and a cup of coffee might be attached to each other as “wet things,” while the coffee and a clock might be attached as “things starting with the letter C” or “things to help you wake up in the morning.” The individual tiles are put into order by each player individually until one has made enough connections to reach the center tile. However, once the chain is made the player must be able to talk through all of the connections in a way the others can understand.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that there are various tiles players can use to slow each other down or force each other to make more difficult connections.

Bombinoes has multiple game modes using the picture tiles, and promises to be wild fun for the whole family.

In the game of Dragon Caster, you take on the role of a powerful wizard — fighting other Casters for glory and conquest. Your casting numbers represent either the dragons you can summon to battle, or the type of mana that your dragons may obtain. This mana can be used to grant your dragons a variety of special powers. Each dragon that enters into an opponent’s kingdom succeeds in destroying that area. In order to gain victory, you must destroy the area containing your opponent’s Caster.

Zoo Fu is a game about kung fu style combat between various zoo animals. Players will attempt to match style, animals, and attack types (such as “Flying Monkey Chop”) to strike your opponents. Train with the Samurai Zookeeper, and use finishing moves to earn honor and glory as a ZooFu champion.
